Accounting Clerk/Human Resource Assistant
Job Description
Accounting Clerk (90% of job)
Enters and reviews payables for Odell Brewing Company and Odell Investments LLC; processes payments (checks, EFT, online, etc.) for both entities; creates supplemental schedules to support company credit card payments; processes all A/R transactions including sales orders, invoices, credit memos and cash receipts; processes all inventory receipts and issues; conducts periodic physical inventory counts; maintains and reconciles POS system; creates and submits bank deposits; monitors cash balances online and posts transfers between accounts; files all accounting documentation; orders all office supplies and equipment; researches office equipment needs and solutions; processes outgoing mail and stocks postal supplies.
HR Assistant (10% of job)
Provides clerical support to HR team including correspondence with applicants; assists with insurance open enrollment; and fields co-worker questions.
Essential Job Requirements
- Education:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Business
- Experience:
- Accounting and data entry experience
- Human Resource experience preferred
- Required Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures
- Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Attentive to detail and accurate
- Well Organized
- Cooperative and willing to assist others
- Interest in beer and craft brewing industry
