Charity of the Month: Habitat for Humanity “House That Beer Built”
This month we host Habitat for Humanity in our tap room, specifically, The House That Beer Built II. This is a project near and dear to our hearts as it highlights some of the very best components of the craft beer industry and started out as a uniquely Fort Collins project. We joined forces with 7 other breweries and our local Habitat for Humanity to build the first House That Beer Built in 2013 for the beautiful Andrasik family of Rist Canyon. They lost their home in the 2012 High Park Fire and were the first natural disaster loss that our Habitat has rebuilt. Black Bottle, CB & Potts, Coopersmith’s, Equinox, Fort Collins Brewing, Odell Brewing Company, New Belgium Brewing and Pateros Creek joined forces to get Candace Andrasik and her 3 children “back home” by Christmas.
This collaborative and generous spirit is the driving force behind this second effort to bring a family home. Join us in our strides to raise $100,000 for the “bricks and sticks” of the Beavers’ house. We hope to break ground by August and you will have an opportunity to help us do the actual building too! Watch the House That Beer Built page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/housethatbeerbuilt/ as well as Habitat’s website, listed below. Mark your calendar for our kick-off event at Coopersmith’s on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 16th when we reveal the breweries who will be helping to build the House That Beer Built II! Make a donation and be one of the first folks in town to rock an HTBB II t-shirt!! You will have lots of opportunities to unite with us throughout 2016 as we join forces with other community partners like The Farmhouse who will honor the House That Beer Built II as the recipient of their “Chicken and Given” for the month of May. Don’t miss the Brewers’ Olympics this June as our Fort Collins brewers vie for gold and team up to raise money for HTBB II!! We will continue to release fun events and opportunities as we get the ball rolling, keep your eyes peeled!

Tip Jar: The House of Neighborly Services
“HELP FOR TODAY…INTERVENTION, BASIC AND EMERGENCY SERVICES HOPE FOR TOMORROW…PROGRAMS, EDUCATION, AND BETTER JOBS BRING SELF-RELIANCE”
The House of Neighborly Services hosts a number of charitable non-profit organizations all under one roof. They add convenience and quality of life to people and families that have been marginalized and provide assistance to maintain the hand up that they are given. We had the amazing pleasure of bringing a team of volunteers over to their facility last spring to help them get their doors open to those in need. It is such a special, inviting place, we are so pleased to have them in our tap room this January!
To check out the services that they offer and the amazing statistics that they are able to report, please visit their website here: http://www.honservice.org/
Please visit our tap room in support of these two organizations! Our Charity of the Month recipients receive month-long exposure to our tap room guests, the opportunity to host an event in our space after-hours, access to our volunteer base for approved projects and a donation from our charitable fund housed at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. Our tip jar recipients also receive month-long exposure to our tap room guests and a donation at the end of the month based on the generosity of our tap room guests. Both are conscientiously chosen by our in-house charitable committee comprised of co-workers from our diverse departments.
Raising one for our community,
