We have a lot of love for Colorado and all of the things that make it home. This summer we decided to pack up the brewery’s Subaru and hit the road. We’re traveling all over the state to check out some of the coolest things our home state has to offer!

Episode One: Doing Stuff With Cliffs

Via Ferrata, Telluride

Shout out to our friends at Mountain Trip for keeping us safe while we traversed the 2 mile Via Ferrata route, of Telluride. At 600 feet high you get some seriously stunning views of Bridal Veil Falls and the San Juan Mountains, just don’t look down. You don’t need any climbing experience to enjoy this adrenaline rush. Pro Tip: Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head over to La Concia De Luz for some tacos and ice cream!

Episode Two: Doing Stuff in Nature’s Hot Tubs

Orvis Hot Springs, Ridgway

Clothing is optional at our next destination. Check out the town of Ridgway for your fill of bike stuff, hike stuff, and river stuff. Then strip down, kick back, relax and recharge at the Orvis Hot Springs. With a sauna, several pools with water features, and grassy knolls for napping, you’ll never want to leave. Call ahead to book a room in the lodge or a campsite out back to extend your stay. Pro Tip: Try the Lobster Pot + Ice Bath Combo for healthy shock to the system.

Episode Three: Doing Stuff with Sand

Great Sand Dunes NP, San Luis Valley

We headed down south to the tallest sand dunes in North America. They’re hot, dusty, and a hell of a good time. Whether you’re surfing down the dunes or cheering creekside, we recommend you bring your goggles and rent a board from our friends at Oasis Store and Restaurant. Pro Tip: Get there by 8am to rent your gear and then head into the restaurant for some breakfast. We highly recommend the biscuits and gravy followed by a piece of Grandma Vittoria’s famous pie.
